Relatively new to the U.S. market, the innovative compounds of the Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Group have already enjoyed commercial success under the brand labels of our U.S. partners. In this next phase of development, we plan to bring exciting new compounds to market under our own MT Pharma America label. We’re currently building a new commercial organization and expanding our other functions to support this strategy.

 

Member of the Accounting department and supports all Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma group companies in the North America from an accounting standpoint.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, system processing, check disbursement, expense report processing, etc.
  • Recommends best practices based on principles of accounting to accurately analyze, verify and review financial information and prepare financial reports.
  • Establishes, maintains and records, financial controls issues including expense reimbursement procedure for payments to external companies, tracking and monitoring related payroll, disbursements expenses, tax payments and income.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual balance sheet and P&L statements and other accounting schedules and reports including documentation for auditing. 
  • Supports completion and finalizes financial statements for headquarters.
  • Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures
  • Interfaces with other related companies in the North America and with corporate headquarters by supporting submission of periodic reports managing inter-company charges and accounts, responding to inquiries
  • Design, modify, install, and/or maintain accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions
  • Conduct analyses related to budgeting, forecasting, audit, tax (Federal and State provisions) and valuation
  • Performs other departmental duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • BS in Accounting required
  • 5 Plus years in general accounting: month-end close and account reconciliation processes
  • Large ERP Software experience, SAP preferred
  • Concur experience preferred
  • QuickBooks experience preferred
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Ability to interpret and apply accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office. Must be strong in Excel.
  • Ability to query data using data extraction tools.
