In this next phase of development, we plan to bring exciting new compounds to market under our own MT Pharma America label. We’re currently building a new commercial organization and expanding our other functions to support this strategy.

The Clinical Finance Manager (Contractor) will manage all financial aspects of the Clinical Development Department, including project and trial costing, forecasting, reporting and analysis; budget creation/maintenance; and invoice management. This individual will work closely with Clinical Operations Team Leaders for various programs on a daily basis.

This 6-month 40-hour per week contract role, which can be extended up to 18 months, is located at our Jersey City, NJ Headquarters.



      • Partners with leadership to develop, implement and manage effective costing, invoice tracking, budgeting and forecasting tools for Clinical Development.
      • Serves as the Clinical Development department representative on finance teams/meetings (US and Global).
      • Provides necessary input into key processes and documents related to Clinical Development and Corporate financial reporting and analysis.
      • Supports Sourcing department in RFP process to define scope of work (from a viable accounting and invoicing systems perspective).
      • Monitors/reports on plan vs. actual spending across vendors and projects, including providing variance analysis.
      • Tracks patient recruitment and other key cost drivers to monitor budget and report variances (planned vs. actual).
      • Reviews and oversees the development, review and operational aspects of site investigator grant and grant payment in accordance with sponsor process requirements.
      • Tracks/facilitates clinical contracts and change orders.
      • Creates/reviews work orders and SOWs to align with vendor contracts and invoicing system.
      • Tracks/manages invoice review and approval for Clinical Development department.
      • Supports/trains staff in required system and processes.
      • Ensures GCPs and relevant SOPs are met.
      • Provides input and support of financial audits.
      • Shares lessons learned as they pertain to financial management of projects/vendors/trials.
      • Performs other departmental duties as assigned.



    • BS or MS in Accounting or Finance is required.
    • Minimum of 5 years of financial reporting/analysis experience is required, specifically in the setting of clinical development or operations.
    • Experience in financial management of contracted resources (CROs, vendors, sites).
    • Proven experience with accounting systems.
    • Understanding of SAP accounting system is preferred, though an understanding of other accounting system(s) is acceptable.
    • Proficient with MS Office Suite applications, including advanced Excel skills.
    • Effective oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
    • Willingness to travel up to 10% including domestic and international travel.
